Certificate in Youth Ministry

Have you got a passion for young people and
want to understand them better? Are you a volunteer youth
leader and not sure where this youth ministry thing is taking
you in the future? Are you wanting to develop your youth leadership
skills and be more effective in your ministry to young people?
The Certificate in Youth Ministry is a correspondence
course which offers an opportunity for volunteer leaders to
gain valuable youth leadership skills without the pressure
of semesters, due dates and long essay assignment. It is entirely
flexible, allowing students to work at their own pace and
balance study with ministry and family responsibilities. There
are eight papers in the course and student can do just one
or all eight (an advanced course of another 4 papers is being
developed).

Leading – Principles for Christian
leadership
Managing – Personal and people management
skills for youth ministry
Designing – Guidelines for designing
a balanced and effective youth ministry
Programming – Ideas for effective
programmes
Understanding – An overview of adolescent
development and behavioural dynamics
Caring – Principles and practice for
caring for young people
Communicating – Guidelines for leading
small groups and speaking to young people
Connecting – Understanding youth culture
and the messages behind it.
