Youth Links: Podcasts
Podcasts (and no you don't need an iPod!)
are internet based programmes that can be downloaded and listened
to any time on your computer or mp3 player. Or you can burn
the programmes to CDROM and listen to them in the car or on
your stereo or discman. The easiest way to get started is
to download a free copy of Apple iTunes here
choosing either the Microsoft version or the Apple one. When
you start up iTunes click on the music store and then select
"Podcasts". Do a search on "Youth Ministry"
and about 60 links appear, all of them giving a number of
free podcasts to download. By subscribing to podcasts you
can have new ones downloaded to your computer automatically
when you start up iTunes. The following can be accessed by
downloading and installing iTunes 6 or, where links are provided,
going to the website, right clicking on the link and then
"Save Target As..." in order to save it to your
computer.

in an entertaining chat show format. Light on solid youth
ministry teaching (subtitled "just enough youth ministry
so you don't feel guilty for listening"!) but worth
checking out. Also comes in video format
- longer to download (and really only practical if you have
broadband) but easier to follow.

Junior High: Kurt Johnson from Saddleback Community
Church has put online a number (15 at present) video
training tools for your youth leaders. Subjects include,
"Dealing with Disruptive Kids", "4 Easy Ways
to Get Students Involved", and "How Should We
Involve Parents?" Each session last for up to 10 minutes
so you can use them as part of your leaders meetings.

This site has recently been relaunched and feartures conversations
on the emrgent church.

UK emergent conferences including an excellent message related
to the church in New Zealand by Alan Jamieson.

Focussed Youth Ministry: Strong Bible teaching on youth
ministry.

lots of relevance to young people.
